I am a motorsport enthusiast and I have raced classic Jaguars at club-level for many years. My second love is painting and it is such a pleasure for me to be able to combine my interests in this way. Using acrylic medium, mostly on canvas, I enjoy trying to capture the way colour, light and reflection can lend drama to a subject – whether that subject is a racing car in full flight or a shadowed human form. My inspiration comes from the whole range of motorsport - whether it is the enthusiasm and pride shown by lovers of a particular marque, the beauty of an exquisitely-engineered component, the sport’s characters and personalities or a racing-car in full-flight.
Although I specialise in what I define as "Mechanical-Art", I also take pleasure in expressing people, portraits, pets and places.
I am a member of the Guild of Motoring Artists as well as the Ashby Guild of Artists and have exhibited widely on numerous occasions.
