| Why commission art? |
|
It is true that original art is both special and personal. One thing which makes it even more personal and special, is when it has been commissioned especially for YOU.
Commissioning a work of art offers the unique opportunity to purchase exactly the subject you want - not just those subjects the artist has completed and offers for sale. This, of course, applies whether you are buying a gift for a friend or loved one, or are searching for a one-of-a-kind artwork for your own enjoyment.
When commissioning artwork - created especially for you by me - you'll find a level of personal attention rarely available in this age of mass market merchandizing. As with buying a ready-made artwork from the selection displayed on this site, a commissioned piece of art can have great sentimental value and will be passed down through families for generations. In addition to providing years of enjoyment, commissioned art can also increase in value as the artist achieves success.

| How much? |
|
You can commission an original artwork (acrylic on canvas or heavy-weight art paper) from as little as £75! ($116 US, Euro117). This assumes you supply me with a suitable photograph and the finished painting is approximately 12"x 8" (300mm x 210mm). The painting will be supplied with an attractive frame and masqueing/glass where appropriate. The only additional cost will be post-and-packing (including insurance and recorded, tracked delivery) as well as any local taxes applicable. Payment can be by cheque or direct transfer and I will supply a photograph of the finished work to ensure your satisfaction before any money need change hands!
If, for any reason, you are unhappy with the finished work - I will refund IN FULL all monies paid (net of postage and taxes where applicable) on receipt of the returned item.

| What is "Commissioned Art"? |
|
When you commission a piece, you will work directly with the artist to establish exactly the painting you desire. I can work from photographs that you provide or I can take photographs myself. You can choose the subject, the size, the color scheme, etc., or allow me to guide you through those decisions. You are welcome to put as much, or as little time into the process as you like. I can also access various other images such as race-cars, sporting venues, famous individuals or landscapes etc through a variety of sources if needed. In the end, you will get a beautiful work of art that was created especially for you.
