This image is of a hard-pressed BMW saloon leading the way at the start of a very wet race. Conditions such as this cannot help but provide drama – both from the point of view of the spectator as well as the competitor. I tried to convey the feeling of being about to be 'leaned on' into the first corner as well as the lurking menace in the background |
